In 2018, after going through a tough time with my health and repentance from past activities, I made a decision to grow and become successful legally. Fortunately for me, I got my first laptop from my dad around the same time.

At the time, I had already learned a bit of Python Programming on a Desktop computer at home which I did after graduation from secondary school(high school) in 2017 while waiting to be admitted into the university at the end of that same year. I did get an admission that year and went on one year without a device to practice coding properly. Though I do remember building a couple of interfaces on my phone with HTML and CSS after attending a Bootcamp on campus on web design. So, you can imagine the excitement of getting a laptop at the time. It was a game-changer for me. Thank you, dad.

At this point, you would assume that on getting the laptop I would just continue learning to program to code, right? yes, you are correct but there is more to it. Here is a list of what I learned using this laptop at the time:

  • Python programming
  • Web design with HTML and CSS
  • Graphic Design
  • Forex Trading

Also, in case you are wondering about school. I was on vacation after 100 Level(freshman year) coupled with a long strike of universities; thanks to our messed up education system, lol.

Back to the point, looking at this list you could easily say it is an interesting range of skills for someone to acquire. But, as the subject of this narration, I can truthfully tell you that I was confused. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do rather I just wanted to grow and I must tell you, this was a turning point for me.

So, as an answer to the question, where do I start? Start confused.

Although, some people could be lucky enough to find things that they love doing at an early stage and even go on to stick with it for a long time which is great. But, that’s mostly not the case. Don’t sit down doing nothing and expect to get a divine revelation that tells you your purpose. Please don’t do that. Try different things out in order to get what really works for you.

Fast forward to today, I am a software engineer skilled in the python programming language and content creator. I am also madly passionate about blockchain technology and consistently researching both the theoretical and practical parts of it.

You see, with growth comes clarity. The more you do, the more you grow and the more you grow, the clearer your path. Growth brings a lot of things amongst which is clarity of purpose. Don’t keep idle and lament that you don’t know what to do. There are a thousand and one things to do. Remember, at this stage, there is nothing like starting with the right one rather, just start.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you get the most out of this.
